Back in the day, when I decided I was going to give snowboarding a try, I didn’t take the approach most people would take; which would be to rent some equipment and see if I enjoyed the sport.
Instead, I went out and bought the full kit; from helmet to board, and everything in between. I decided I was going to be a snowboarder, then went out for my first day on the slopes.
I don’t like to dabble. I like to go all in.
When I was a teacher, I loved it, but I wanted to take it to the next level. Assistant Principal was the perfect fit for me!
Then we moved to Paris. My love for yoga had me searching out a yoga studio. But didn’t want to just practice yoga as a student. I spent the better part of a year becoming a certified yoga instructor.
I don’t like to just go for a jog. I like to be signed up for a big race. Yup, a marathon should do it!
When I decided I’d try my hand in painting, my husband’s eyes were like saucers as he saw me pull into the driveway with a giant easel hanging out of the car and more paint and brushes than Picasso would need.
I’ve taken over giant sections of our yard to test out my green thumb, and when I finally learned to cook, you’d better believe that I Pinterest’ed the hell out of our kitchen!
So it’s not surprising that when I decided to start a blog, I couldn’t help but have far fetched visions of writing for The Huffington Post dancing in my head.
While HuffPo hasn’t come knocking just yet, something else very exciting has happened.
I’ve been nominated for Blogger of the Year on the Indie Chick’s Badass Blog Awards. How cool is that?!?
So, if you’d be kind enough to VOTE HERE, this exciting nomination might manifest itself to stake claim on a pretty cool title. Who knows, maybe it’ll give me enough street cred to catch the eye of my imaginary friends at The Huffington Post after all.
Don’t be shy; you can vote more than once. 😉
Sharing is caring; so spread the word my friends!
Thanks for reading and for your votes!
